What does it take to succeed in this industry?
First, understand that you already “network” every day when you talk to family, friends and colleagues! So the principle is already established.
Second. Please do take this advice:
This is what you need to consider when selecting an opportunity:
1) Stability. How old is the company? Does it have a history?
2) Products and/or services. Are they what consumers will use? What is the quality of the product and delivery?
3) The pay plan. How fair is the distribution? This is crucial as it represents how you’ll get paid (or not!). How much of sales revenue is paid back to the distributors and how is it distributed?
4) Integrity. Investigate the experience of the CEO in network marketing. Have they been successful in other companies in the industry? Do they have a good reputation?
5) Momentum and timing. Look at where the company is today, what’s going on with the company and if it’s expanding.
6) Support, training and business systems. It’s a great company with excellent management, products that make a difference, a pay plan that’s fair and generous with momentum and stability, but is there a support system in place that works?
Practice What You’re Taught!
You need to be willing to listen and learn. The way in which Network Marketing works, it is in the best interests of your Sponsor to help you succeed. They must be willing to teach you the system. Ask how they have become successful? Is it easy to duplicate? But you have to be willing to listen, be taught and follow the systems.
The “up-line,” meaning the people above you, how supportive are they? How often will they call you? How will they help you put a plan in place? Are they as committed to your success as they are to their own? You should be able to say “I need some help.” Support from the up-line is very important.
Lead Your Down-line!
The term “orphan” can often be heard in this industry. This is when someone joins but the Sponsor is too busy bringing in other people that they don’t spend the time to teach. You’ll need to spend at least thirty days helping a new recruit come into the industry, holding their hand until they feel confident to be able to go off on their own. Are you willing and able to do that? Network Marketing is about long-term relationship building, it’s definitely not about numbers. You must work with your down-line, helping them to develop their relationships.
Many are now using the internet as their main marketing tool. One of the greatest keys to success in this industry is personal contact. Call those who are interested i.e. follow up. Automation on the internet is great but not personal. Think local, market globally.
The internet is full of spam. Do not spam, it’s the first stage of getting a very bad reputation.
Taking Care Of Business!
This is a business! As in running a franchise or a storefront, you need to account for your activities. TAX! It’s very important to do your research prior to making money. It’s surprisingly easy, your up-line will help and there is loads of information available from HMRC.
Don’t Quit The Day Job…Yet!
Never leave your full-time job until you’re absolutely certain that the income that’s coming in with this company is going to be there. You need to have been with the company for some time so that you know it’s stable and that the income is equal to or greater than the income you’re earning from your day job. At this point, you will be extremely busy, so you need support from family and friends.
So what is your image of Network Marketing now? It’s an extremely powerful way of doing business!
I have two “Mentors“, Bob Proctor and Sandy Gallagher – they work with one of my opportunities but they are global entrepreneurs, and they say, “They (wealthy people) have multiple sources of income. It’s the same idea as diversifying your investment portfolio, that way when one income stream suffers, the others make up for it. If none of them are suffering, then you’re making a lot of money.”
Multiple sources of income represent a real and long lasting way to wealth. The more your diversify, the more money you will make and, hence, you have a much more financially prosperous life. Once I understood this, I realised that employment doesn’t give me that opportunity, so I put my time, energy and resources into creating multiple sources of income. These now provide me with the lifestyle I once dreamed about, the protection from “redundancy” that I never had.
This is why I encourage everyone to carefully study my Business, start learning and growing every day on achieving a life of real freedom and real wealth.
